How were you treated as a student in DGH ?

Hi oGbs .

You know I cant deny that I never enjoyed my life and my childhood in the homes ,it was a great place where you learnt so much and your friends came your family .

But on the other hand ,Sometimes I just couldnt figure it out why I bunked so many classes ,and then after leaving school I realized so many things and I could answer so many questions .

We poor sponsor children in the Homes were very badly mistreated ,the teachers always treated the full paying boarders with respect than we poor anglos .
I quessed their salaries depended on the full paying boarders .

I always witnessed anglos getting a thrashing /or being dhupped up for no rhyme or reason.we were branded the most dhando kids in the school and the teachers always disgrassed us by saying all the anglos go to Tech /MSF.

I remember one teacher telling me ,your family has treated youll badly and has abandoned youll ,be thankfull the homes have taken youll in ,infront of all my other classmates .

I was once told that you Melvinn pattern will be dancing on the streets for some pennies ,cos I looked like a punk and waster back in the high school days .
They knew we were to far away and have no access to a phone and our letters were read beofe it was posted ,so we had no way of complaining .And just before going home day they treated us well ,so that we forget the past and talk good about them to our parents .

Man thats unfair .
