Hi there please write your name after you post a message or reply .
well in my time belive me ,Tamang was a real toonka . Ouch man it hurt really hard .
and after he toonked you he gave that wicked grin ,like i wanted that to hurt .[] Maybe in your time he cooled down a bit ,quess with age and experiences you change .
I don't think you are full right about Mr. Tamang. He was very caring and loved everyone. He worried about his student so much that he actually waited out the javi Hall for us to finish our exam.
Most of the DGH teachers had no idea of child psychology and had their own peculiar way of treating the students ,they belived that by flogging or dhupping up the student meant that they were training that child to be a good student .
yes back in those days ,there wasnt much options ,like informal education ,learning through play .ets.
They used force to educate us ,slapped us ,dhupped us so many times if we ever made mistakes .humiliated us manily poor anglo sponsor kids .
This teacher David Royan ,he had his way with his hands , Mr Verma hindi teacher often kicked and dhupped us up alot ,abused us .
Tamang he toonked us and had his way of laughing over it becoz he got the thrill to see us in pain .
I could go on ..........but you see here in a way we could say we enjoyed homes life but thats only with our friends,on the other side you always had to be in fear that one slight mistake and your humiliated in public.
Cottage parents was not far away ,they to beat and hit the kids behind closed doors . Alot went on in the homes and yet I read people saying they enjoyed the homes .
